Trestle White out0

It snowed all day today! What beautiful, large, wet flakes. This is my “snow day” shot. White out at the North Broad Trestle Bridge. You can barely see the lines of the railroad trestle through the middle of the snow. It was beautiful!

All Decked Out0

This is a shot of the Marblehead Lighthouse with the old white house in the foreground. Everything was decorated for the Christmas season. Wish I had that picket fence around my house!

Sunshine after Rain0
Finally, this Saturday morning the sun and blue sky are breaking through the clouds. Two days of inexhaustible rain have been our lot this week flooding over ground that is already so saturated. Hopefully, a break from wiping off little puppy dog feet after our trips outside. Smile!

Reflections0
I think this was one of my favorite lighthouse photos. The contrast of the sky so blue and the puffy clouds mirroring the white of the lighthouse and the reflection over the water. This is the Huron lighthouse that only was accessed after a cold windy walk over the stone breaker! It was the first day of duck hunting season in Ohio and on the way back we passed a hunter dressed in camouflage with his gun heading toward the water–now how was that going to happen–no boat and no dogs–hum!

Quiet Sentry0
This was the first photo taken on the trip–the lighthouse at Vermillion, Ohio. It was serene sitting beside the maritime museum looking out over the cold waters of Lake Erie where hundreds of seagulls were floating on the water near the beach. Below is the beautiful coastline lined with beach homes just east of the lighthouse.

A Visit to Remember0
What a wonderful Christmas break I had visiting my sister and brother-in-law in Western Pennsylvania. My sister played travel agent coordinating a trip across Ohio and Pennsylvania to visit lighthouses along Lake Erie’s southern most coastline. These are taken at the Marblehead lighthouse, which was all “dressed up” for Christmas. Thanks for all the fun we had with the perfect chauffeur and navigator!

Hot Summer Walks0
Taking a walk with Cocoa Joy and Chip on a typical humid Georgia afternoon seeing some beautiful old ruins and serene resting places beside the water at Sweetwater Creek, resulted in one hot puppy!

Final Days1
Last week was my last week of work at the firm I have been with for nearly 20 years! It seems surreal, but it is the first step through a new door of opportunity that God has opened before me. What great memories, laughter, words of friendship and reminders of days gone by and work done together for a common purpose that transcends eternity. Below one gift that I enjoyed for several days.

Lazy Weekend0
Well, this was a great weekend for late pajama Saturday mornings and just relaxing. It was rainy on Saturday and was a good day to do some personal filing and purging through things for another trip to Goodwill! There was lots of time to play with Chip and let PJ out on the screened porch, naps on my lap (not at the same time!) and, of course, a trip to Starbucks! Chip managed to tear the stuffing out from under Mr Snowman’s hat, but not before getting his head stuck as you see. PJ and Chip are making friends and have had some sweet moments together (licking faces and rolling on each other). When Chip gets a bit rough there is always freedom up on a shelf or over the baby gate for PJ! He is still my sweet boy as seen in the next photo while he sleeps on Cocoa’s “Princess” blanket–his forever friend!
